    Dr. DiBiasie,

I was speaking with my kids (seven of them) tonight, telling them stories from years ago, and trying like hell to remember an expression this good friend from my class at the Riverton, NJ grammar school used to use to “diss” people long before “dissing” was called that. Back then, this kid named Jimmy Tardinico was a master at it. I remember he was from a big family – I was from a big family – I was born in Mass, as were my folks – he was born in Mass. I thought I’d Google him to see if I might reach him to figure out just what the hell was the put down he used.

I’ve got to think this is the same Jimmy Tardinico. If that’s the case, I’m so sorry to learn he died. He was a great kid to know back then, and I’m sure he grew up to be a great guy. He was always one of my Mom’s favorites, because he was so mentally sharp and verbally quick. I’ll remember him in my prayers.
